Ask for Rights

Crime victims have rights at both the federal and state levels, but those are just words on paper. That’s why the National Crime Victim Law Institute launched the Ask for Rights campaign - to build national momentum so that every person knows how to ask for rights and ensure their full legal power.

We worked on:

  • Branding

  • Asset development

  • Video

  • Social media artwork

  • Print collateral

  • Social media content

Design note:

When designing this brand we had multiple points we wanted to hit. The first is an element of three, (to reflect all three sides of justice - the prosecution, defense AND victim) which is why you see three out of the four edges curved. Stripping down the mark to its most basic form so that the door is left open to a reflection of each victim. And lastly, showcasing the physical action of asking for rights. We landed on a big, bold talk bubble that any victim could step into with an arrow that points directly to the name, hammering in its purpose.

Brand vibes:

Youthful. Bold. Loud. Authoritative. Storytellers. Outspoken. Tireless.
